Rob and Huw provided a fantastic Mountain Leader Training Course! Rob's teaching style was particularly valuable, as it created an engaging and enjoyable learning environment. The learning was well paced and the days out on the hill provided appropriate challenge for the skills of our group. Rob and Huw are both incredibly knowledgeable and fantastic company! I will absolutely be coming back to do more with them in the future. Thanks both!

I attended the Classic Scrambles with John as our instructor. We climbed Y Gribin and Crib Goch on the first two days, then East Ridge of Y Garn, Nor Nor Buttress variant, The Notch and finished on the last afternoon with Cneifion Arete! John was excellent throughout. He explained clearly the different anchors and use of protection as well as going over basic ropework and climbing equipment. I always felt safe even on the more challenging exposed sections and his knowledge of the area meant routes were planned that linked well and made the most of our time. I highly recommend this course to progress in a well-structured and fun way from grade 1 scrambles to roped grade 2 and 3 scrambles. Thanks to John and to Rob for another great week.

I have been fortunate enough to do a lot of Rob’s courses over the years. Every single one of them has been absolutely fantastic. I cannot recommend “Scrambling in Glencoe and Ben Nevis” highly enough. Every day was an adventure from Dorsal Arete to Tower Ridge to Curved Ridge, what a fantastic week!

I attended Classic scrambles week on 22/9/25. We had John as our leader who was super patient and helpful. The first two days was 1-3 ratio and then 1-2 for the more tricky routes. This allowed plenty of time for practicing skills and for us to choose what we wanted to do. I had the best time. Thank you to Rob and the team for another superb week in the mountains. Em xx

Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the 2 days with John, Emma and Olivia. John is very reassuring, patient and inspires confidence when tackling some of the more challenging parts of the routes. It was like being out with a friend who knows what he’s doing! Crib goch was simply awesome! Thanks again and hopefully see you on another trip in the future
