Fantastic Mountain leader training course, felt pushed and supported the whole time. The amount of experience held by Rob and Huw is very obvious and they used it well to give individually catered feedback and advice to each of us. The Walkers Haute Route Week One - 2025. What a fantastic trip! Rob is the consummate professional mountain guide. Everything is organised to perfection from the accommodation to the routes taken each day. All you have to do is put one foot in front of the other and marvel at the beautiful scenery. My second trip with Expedition Guide, I did this course following the Advanced Scrambling course last year. You would think that this would be more of the same, but Rob's accessible teaching style and wealth of knowledge really do make this a completely different experience. I'm so glad I did this. Rob is clearly a pro at this game, tailoring the content to his audience and then steadily consolidating and building upon the previous day's learning. He is also extremely patient and at no point did I feel rushed, even when doing a considerable amount of faffing with a rope! I now feel infinitely more confident to get out into the hills; this has been a really enjoyable and empowering few days. Great company and 100% recommended!
