Course Summary
This is a week long trip to Oppdal in Norway to climb water ice routes. The ice routes here offer superb climbing with walk ins that are often only 5-10 minutes from the car!
We fly out on a Sunday evening and spend the week climbing roadside ice. We have 1 rest day where people can choose to rest, go skiing or take in the sights. There is a great local ski resort that is often quiet and has great powder!
We spend the week climbing a wealth of grades to suit your ability and aspirations. It is not uncommon to climb as many routes in a day as you would climb in a week in Scotland!
The Ice Climbing in Norway course is suitable for anyone that has done some winter climbing or mountaineering and wants to tackle some steep ice and/or push their grade. This is a great place to get mileage to boost confidence and skills.
We rent self catering accommodation and share the cost between us. Generally we share the cooking but equally people are welcome to eat out. We also hire a couple of cars and share the costs of those so that we can get to and from the airport and the climbing.
The course fee includes the instruction only.
